Reading snowboard reviews is a pretty interesting pastime, when you're not snowboarding -- and checking out snowboard reviews is not just interesting, but essential, before you plunk a chunk of cash down to buy one!
Snowboard reviews are written by people who have already bought a snowboard, and tried it out -- in various conditions, on various hills. So why re-invent the wheel? Read the snowboard reviews as part of your research into what board is best for you!
Snowboarding lessons are almost always a good idea if you are a beginner -- after all, if you just go out on your own, you'll probably miss out on some important techniques. And if you get your friends to teach you instead of signing up for snowboarding lessons, you run the risk of simply taking on other's bad habits.
Snowboarding lessons are also useful if you have passed the beginner stage to intermediate snowboarding ability, but you're feeling 'stuck' at a level that you can't seem to get past. You may have a lack of confidence in some area that a few snowboarding lessons will help you get over.
And of course, even the pros are still learning -- there's no end to snowboarding lessons that you can take to improve even those mastered skills.
Making a list of snowboarding gear is pretty easy for most of us -- there are the basics, and then there are the accessories or 'extras' that we can all make use of, and love to have!
Top on the list of snowboarding gear is your snowboard, of course. And if you really want to have a 'wish list' of snowboarding gear, you wouldn't be the first to yearn for more than one snowboard, either! ;)
Next to your snowboard, the next most important item on the snowboarding gear list is your boots -- and if you have more than one snowboard, you may very well need more than one pair of boots, since the boots are always particular to the board. No harm in dreaming, right?

Snowboard boots come in two major types: those that fit into step-in bindings and those that fit into strap-in bindings. So, of course, deciding what kind of bindings you'll use is really the first step in determining what snowboard boots you'll buy.
Once you've made that decision, the next consideration is that your snowboard boots need to fit you comfortably, yet still be able to perform well.
Want to learn to snowboard? You CAN learn to snowboard -- in 4 easy step, no less!
1. First of all, if you want to learn to snowboard, you'll need to be in good shape, physically -- spend some time assessing your fitness, and create a plan for some regular cardio and stretches.
Kids snowboards definitely have to suit the kids -- unlike adults, kids are impressed by stuff like graphics (I mean, "if SpiderMan can snowboard, why can't I?") and the coolness factor.
But kids snowboards have to be more than just 'cute,' and thank goodness kids snowboard manufacturers are hep to that -- why wouldn't they want to get kids stoked about riding while they're young? Nothing like trying to claim a customer for life! :)
Snowboarding jackets are no longer simply snowboarding jackets -- they need to have a LOT of things going on to make them useful to riders! Thankfully, manufacturers of snowboard jackets are getting that, and have given us a wide range of possibilities, for a wide range of budgets.

Snowboarding techniques can barely be explained in one page of print, but at least you can absorb some definitions, and get started on a few ideas.
Snowboarding safety is all about staying alive so we can snowboard some more -- doesn't that sound like a GOOD thing for every rider? Snowboarding safety is definitely something we ALL need to think about, probably a lot more often than most of us do!
Snowboarding safety is essentially all about cutting down on the risk of injury -- to yourself and others. Any time you are trying to combine speed with manoeuvering and obstacles, there's potential for troubles!

Taking snowboarding pictures as almost as much fun as snowboarding -- I said 'almost.' But taking snowboarding pictures should be a part of your experience, and snowboarding pictures are definitely worth having AFTER your boarding trip is over -- whether it's to show them off to friends or family, or just to re-live the memories of your ride.
But taking GOOD snowboarding pictures is not always easy -- especially if you want some nice action shots, and not just great poses of your friends with their shiny-looking boards!
