Choosing Snowboarding Clothes: The Basic Considerations
Snowboarding clothes for every skill level and every budget
Snowboarding clothes include the basic boots and bindings, of course, but there's been lots written about them elsewhere, so I'm going to talk about other snowboarding clothes here.
Your list of snowboarding clothes should include:
1. Socks -- happy feet make happy riders, so be good to your feet, and they'll reward you with many long hours of boarding nirvana, I can guarantee it! Let's face it -- your feet are your most used asset, so socks are going to take a beating! Pick socks that are sure to be comfortable,
2. Leggings and/or pants -- your list of snowboarding clothes should include a few pairs of snowboarding pants, and they should have some or all of the following characteristics:
- seam sealing
- an adjustable waist
- mesh lining for breathability
- inner leg vents
- extra lining in the seat and the knees
- fleece lining for warmth
- cargo pockets
3. Turtle neck - turtle necks are just plain warm and comfy, and should make up one of the layers of snowboard clothing that you need.
4. Hoodie - hoodies are as much for AFTER-board activities for the same reason as turtle-necks; they're cozy to wear!
5. Jacket - your jacket should have many of the same characteristics as the pants, but be even warmer. :)
All of these snowboard clothes are available in a range of prices, making them accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget.
