Snowboard resorts are the next thing to heaven for snowboarders -- and if you're anything like me, you want to frequent them ALL!
Well, there's probably too many snowboard resorts to get to in one season, anyway, so you'll have to pick and choose. Besides, most of us aren't independently wealthy, so we don't have the luxury of visiting snowboard resorts all winter long -- that means we really do need to choose carefully which ones we WILL try to get to in a season. And it's often a tough choice, believe me!
So here are some tips for how to figure out which snowboard resorts should be graced with your presence this season: :-)
1. Do they offer snowboard packages for snowboarders -- either in terms of accomodations, or rentals or travel arrangements?
2. How else will they cater to you once they have your money? Is there a discount on local entertainment for those loooong evenings when you can't go snowboarding? Or a hot-tub or massage therapist you can visit? In other words, what other amenities does the snowboard resort offer? Because as much as we'd like to, man cannot live by snowboarding alone -- we need other kinds of FUN too.
3. What kind of ratings or reviews do each of the snowboard resorts you're considering get? Check snowboarding publications and online forums, ask among friends and family who are riders, and check out snowboarding resorts' websites to see if they've won awards, or to read the testimonials of past happy customers.
4. Last, but definitely not least, do some price comparisons before you make any final decisions about what snowboard resorts to visit this season.
