Finding snowboard shops near you might not be as easy as it sounds -- they aren't necessarily called 'Snowboard Shops' so if you've never had a reason to know about them before, you might have to 'dig' a little.
For one thing, snowboard shops are never just called 'Tyler's Snowboard Shop.' They're often named something that's maybe just one word -- like 'Slopes,' for example. Very cool, but hard to find!
So the first thing you need to do to find snowboard shops where you live is to check out the yellow pages of the phone book, under 'Snowboard.' You still may not be successful, because depending on the size of your community, the book may not even have a category for snowboard shops.
If you can't find snowboard shops under 'Snowboard,' check under 'Ski.' In the category of ski equipment or ski rentals, for example, you might find snowboard shops that also sell ski stuff. Give them a call to find out!
