Snowboarding Accessories for Everyone
The snowboarding accessories you can't be without
Having snowboarding accessories is almost as important as having a snowboard! There's the obvious ones, like boots and bindings, but there are other snowboarding accessories you really don't want to be without:
Snowboarding Gear You Absolutely Need
1. The #1 snowboarding accessories on your list should be for the purpose of sun protection. Sunscreen itself is vital for your skin when it's facing wind, sun and glare from the snow every time you strap on a board. Check your local pharmacy for sunscreen that's made especially for snowboarders, and you won't go wrong.
For further protection from the sun, you'll need snow goggles. These usually have built-in UV protection, and because of the lens colors, they normally cut down on glare from the snow, as well.
2. The next most important of the snowboard accessories is a snowboard helmet. Why take a chance, when you could be protected by a helmet? If you decided a long time ago that you weren't going to wear a helmet because they're ugly and not-so-cool, you owe it to yourself to check out all the latest and greatest styles and designs -- you'll be VERY surprised, I think!
3. All your clothing comes under the general heading of snowboarding accessories, mainly because you CAN'T just wear 'anything' on the slopes. Your clothing needs to be specially designed waterproof, windproof and warm stuff built with riders in mind, and you need to have a few hats, and pairs of mittens or gloves with you at all times, too.
4. A snowboard bag should be on your list of snowboarding accessories, too -- it'll save your board from getting banged up, and make it easier to transport it wherever you need to go to find fresh powder!
4. Then there are things like MP3 players and digital cameras - these may not specifically be considered snowboarding accessories, but I, for one, can't imagine hitting the slopes without them. They've become a regular part of my list of stuff 'to go,' and in fact, both of them live in my snowboard bag during the season -- they just add to the fun!
